Halloween is a time for fun, whether it’s dressing up, decorating your home and garden, trick or treating, going to Halloween themed parties or planning your own, visiting haunted houses, watching scary horror movies, etc.

Whatever you like to do at Halloween, it is about letting your hair down and spending time with family and/or friends – and it’s not just for kids!

So why not get your ‘Halloween‘ thinking cap on, and see what ideas you can come up with for celebrating Halloween this year?

I have always been interested in the origin of Halloween, how it all started, where our customs and traditions come from, and also how they have changed to what we recognise today.

A question for you – who doesn’t like to dress up at Halloween?  I think most Halloween fans love to dress up as much as I do, and the options we have to choose from for our Halloween costume is just amazing.  Every year it seems like there is even more to choose from.  We really are spoilt for choice these days, and sometimes having too much to choose from can be just as unhelpful as having too little.

If you really are stuck for ideas this year, the following list might give you some costume (and makeup) inspiration this Halloween:

Just like with the costumes, there is a lot of decoration ideas to choice from.  In fact it would be easy to get carried away.  After all, there is the indoor and outdoor décor to take care of, plus table decorations, door and wall decorations, and don’t forget about your front yard!  It’s enough to make your head spin!  But don’t despair, here are a few suggestions to get you started:

Of course no party is complete without food and drink!  And I’m not talking about any old food and drink, because at a Halloween themed party you need Halloween inspired food and drink.
